I Create Weird Recipes

I'm making Braised Beef and Veggies. It's a one pot wonder. I've been sampling throughout and it's not bad. I tried to make it asian-style 'cause I love it.

Recipe:

Stewing Beef
Beef Broth
Onion
Carrots
Celery
Daikon
Broccoli

Marinate beef in soy, hoisin, mirin, and corn starch.
Brown beef on all sides. Add chopped onion. Add broth til it covers meat and onions. Add tomato sauce (or paste or canned tomatoes or stewed tomatoes). Season however you like.
Cook on low heat for 45 mins. Add rest of chopped vegetables and braise for another 45 mins or til tender.

EAT!

Oh if it's watery..thicken with paste or cornstarch.

Reviving La Blog

I'm reviving my blog. It's been a long time. Currently I'm watching America's Next Top Model with a glass of vino and waiting for my braised beef and vegetables to finish cooking. Tyra looks skinny this episode. Boy, the chick fluctuates.

P.S. what is with the term 'Smeyes or Smize" ..gagggg.

Doritos Sweet Chili Heat

Help me. I crave these chips all the time. 24-7. They are my absolute favorite chips and they are sooooooooooo good. If you haven't tried them yet and are a Doritos fan, you are so missing out! I need to leave my money at home or hide my wallet or something.

JT - Midlife Crisis?

Ok laugh if you must...make fun if you desire...but I don't give a damn..I'm going to see Justin Timberlake in concert and scream along with the 14 year olds around me (and the 31-2 year olds that are going WITH me). I can't wait. (What is up with me? Christina, Gwen and now JT..is this my midlife crisis???)

Tuesday is like Monday

I had a shitty morning today. I woke up with the best intentions. I was going to go to work early and try and leave early to meet with GC for shopping. But instead I arrived 10 mins later than my usual time. Why? Because of skytrain stupidity. When I got the station, there was a train there, I tried to run and catch it but some stupid girl decided that SHE didn't want to catch it so instead walked at the pace of an 80-year old woman and decidedly blocked my path onto the train. Grrrr! Then for some odd reason the 4 trains after that were FULL...yes FULL. I had to miss 4 bloody trains. Finally I got to Waterfront and I remembered that I had to send this wedding rsvp. Feeling proud that I remembered, I went to the mailbox only to find that the letter doesn't seal shut. I licked and licked and nope..there is no glue on the envelope. I gave up, went to my office and there I discovered my salad dressing spilled and is now all over my salad...wilted salad for lunch..mmmm :| Can't wait for the end of day...

God of War II

Call me geek, nerd, loser, dungeon master..whatever...I play video games and am currently addicted to God of War 2. Today, I ripped the arms off some harpies, decapitated some Minotaurs, gauged out the eye of a cyclops, and all-in-all killed about a hundred things. All in a days work...Fun!

Was I Walking Around With A Rip In My Butt?

My Long and Lean gap jeans have finally bit the dust as this morning I pulled them out to discover a hole near the butt area. They have last me for about 7 years and they are one of my favorite pair of jeans because of their coloring, fit and price!!! I guess I've totally gotten my money's worth out of those suckers. The only thing that bugs me is that I wore those jeans on Saturday as I was shopping downtown. Don't tell me I was walking around with a hole near my butt???!!! Argh.
