Self Induced Anxiety Attack
Ok, idiot that I am..I actually gave myself a panic attack and let me tell you, it isn't fun. How did I do it? ...By researching Lasik Eye Surgery. Oh, by the way, did I tell you that I'm extremely squeamish when it comes to needles, knives, incisions and eyeballs? Sure, I can watch some guy get get half his face blown off with a gun but stab him in the eye and I'll freak out on ya.So anyway, I figure I have to get over this fear if I'm to get my eyes done without fainting under the laser. So I start reading about the procedure...I am uncomfortable but since I'm not puking I continue to read more. I finish and am impressed with myself. Feeling newfound confidence I proceed to find a video of some lady who went through the procedure. For a moment, I question my strength, but I think maybe once I see what actually happens I'll get over my fears. So I download the segment and when it's done, I foolishly start to watch it: I start to get nervous...ok, um did the doctor just cut a flap on the eye...eeeek...my hand goes up to semi block the screen..BUT NO, must continue watching...oh look, doctor starts to lift flap...my hand starts frantically waving in the air ...but musssst goooo onnnn....gasp, aggh.ughh..hey it's over and it wasn't that bad!!! I'm pretty impressed that I watched it so I decide to continue my research.
